Esther studied Architecture at the University of the Arts in Berlin and at the Technical University in Eindhoven, where she graduated with a Master of Science in Architecture, Building and Planning and qualified as an Architect. Alongside her study Esther worked as a fashion designer for two labels based around her designs solely.

After working for a practice in Berlin and Amsterdam, she moved to London in 2003 to join Michael Aukett Architects, where she ran projects for John Lewis Partnership from inception to planning and from tender stage to completion.

Before joining Darling Associates in 2007 as an Associate Director, Esther was running a 57m high spec office development in the City. She has been involved in the planning submission for an office development and currently is responsible for the design of a 26 storey residential tower.
