Hotel Indigo

Grade II* listed historic 166-bedroom hotel on South Parade in Bath

This Grade II* listed building spans the length of South Parade in the historic heart of Bath, and extends around the corners onto the adjacent Pierrepont and Duke Streets.

As part of the incomplete architectural set-piece by John Wood the Elder. the building is one of the most important in Bath.

The original hotel was a tired 3* operation with 70 bedrooms, and opening up the building during construction inevitably found areas of dilapidation which increased the contract period. The acquisition of an adjoining hotel and several businesses and flats increased the room number to 166. The completed boutique hotel will be run under the IHG Indigo brand, with a restaurant, bar and gym to complement the bedrooms and is expected to be the European Brand flagship.

Each of the bedrooms is themed to reflect the Bath experience. Aiming at a 4* offering, the operators have now included a Michelin star chef.
