We are delighted to share that planning permission has been finally granted for a high-quality redevelopment of the existing school sites, moving Kensington Thomas’s London Day Schools from Cottesmore Gardens and Victoria Road to Atlantic House.
“This has been one of the longest and protracted planning applications I have ever been involved in and the commitment and dedication from all of you was amazing.” says Andrew Dunn , Founder Finchatton.
The masterplan redevelopment will not only deliver a new home for Thomas’s plus much needed residential apartments developed by Finchatton, within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea De Vere Conservation Area. The design proposals will be reutilising much of the historic building façade fabric, including period detailing and traditional sash windows. The new apartment/townhouse layouts will deliver individual bespoke dwellings with the benefit of modern energy efficient facilities, each with a creative external space allocated within the site’s conservation setting.
