Salford Riverside is a 0.5-hectare housing scheme that will provide 500 residential units consisting of studios, 1-bed, 2-bed and 3-bed apartments in an excellent waterside location between south west Manchester and Salford Quays.

The brief was to develop a high-quality residential scheme which responded to the site’s location within the ‘Riverside Living’ area of the adopted Ordsall Riverside planning guidance and fit in with new and existing communities.

Visual influence in the aesthetics refer to the industrial heritage of the site, binding the building to its location. This will create a rich mix of change towards the future and understanding of the past, creating a scheme that has real relevance to its place.

9 storey tall elements front the river and are strategically positioned to south of the site to take advantage of the surrounding views.

The scheme is intended to attract a varied demographic to the development, creating a true mixed-tenure community in Salford by offering a high-quality residential product attractive to all.
